NFL: Jonathan Taylor vs. the Colts is the starkest evidence yet that running backs are screwed.

The Indianapolis Colts will be without their key offensive player, Jonathan Taylor, for their Week 15 match against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Taylor, sidelined due to a thumb injury, will miss his third consecutive game, resulting in Zack Moss taking on the starting role once more. Taylor’s limited appearances this season, just seven games, were influenced by a holdout at the start of the year during contract negotiations, followed by his thumb injury.

During Taylor’s absence, Moss has performed, accumulating 751 rushing yards and five touchdowns, along with 171 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown. Trey Sermon is designated as the team’s backup behind Moss.

Both teams, the Colts and the Steelers, await final updates on various injuries, but Pittsburgh received a significant boost ahead of the game. T.J. Watt, the outside linebacker who entered concussion protocol after Week 14, has been cleared and is ready to play in Indianapolis. Watt expressed to All Steelers that he feels in top condition heading into the weekend.
