In the year of the backup quarterback, who among them can author a Cinderella story? | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have their complete starting lineup ready to play against the Colts.

The Pittsburgh Steelers receive significant news just before their Week 15 clash against the Indianapolis Colts. According to team representative Burt Lauten, outside linebacker Alex Highsmith has completed concussion protocol and is set to play.

Highsmith exited the Week 14 game against the New England Patriots due to a neck injury, later diagnosed as a concussion. He participated fully in practice on the final day leading up to the upcoming match.

With both starting outside linebackers available against the Colts, a situation that initially raised doubts earlier in the week, the Steelers are relieved. T.J. Watt was cleared from protocol earlier and expressed feeling “great” as they approach game day.

Throughout this season, Highsmith has accumulated 49 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, and scored an interception returned for a touchdown.

Furthermore, the Steelers are including Kyron Johnson in their active roster for Week 15, primarily to assist in special teams and offer additional depth at outside linebacker. Nick Herbig and Markus Golden are expected to provide support for both linebackers if necessary during the game.
