Brennan Johnson, the 22-year-old forward, left the field during Tottenham’s match against Nottingham Forest with his face covered in blood due to a concussion. This game marked his first return to City Ground since leaving Forest for Spurs in a transfer worth £47.5 million. His time on the pitch was short-lived, only lasting 32 minutes before an accidental clash of heads with Forest’s Willy Boly led to his collapse.

The collision prompted immediate medical attention, halting play as Johnson received treatment. As he sat up with visible head injuries, it became apparent he couldn’t continue. Former teammate Morgan Gibbs-White assisted him off the field after he was helped to his feet.
