Washington Commanders reportedly plan to dismiss Coach Ron Rivera following the season, according to an NFL Tracker.

Panthers part ways with Ron Rivera

The Washington Commanders are reportedly set to part ways with head coach Ron Rivera and members of the front office following the current season. According to The Athletic, the decision to release Rivera and certain front office personnel after the season has been part of owner Josh Harris’s plans, which are now becoming public knowledge.

The move to overhaul the leadership after the season isn’t unexpected. With the team standing at 4-9, they are headed for their seventh consecutive season without finishing above .500. Despite Rivera’s commendable efforts, navigating through various scandals under previous owner Dan Snyder and coaching while battling cancer, the team’s performance has declined over the past three seasons since their NFC East victory in his debut year as head coach in 2020.
