Jack-Taylor

The Ipswich Town midfielder is keen on getting more time on the pitch with the team.

Jack Taylor, the midfielder, is determined to secure additional starting chances at Ipswich Town after his impressive goal-scoring display in their FA Cup victory against AFC Wimbledon.

Despite scoring five goals this season, including three in cup matches, Taylor has only started in five out of his 21 appearances in the Championship side. Expressing his eagerness for consistent play, Taylor emphasized the importance of continuously proving himself on the field.

Competition in the midfield has intensified with recent signings like Lewis Travis and Jeremy Sarmiento. However, with Ipswich skipper Sam Morsy suspended for the next two matches due to accumulated yellow cards, Taylor stressed the necessity for depth and preparedness among all players.

While acknowledging the significance of the FA Cup, Taylor also emphasized the team’s focus on achieving promotion, seeing the tournament’s magic and the packed fixture list as vital for maintaining the team’s rhythm.

Reflecting on his recent performance, Taylor admitted his mistake in conceding a penalty but redeemed himself with a crucial goal in the 90th minute. Adjusting his approach when Wimbledon was down to 10 men, he capitalized on the opportunity to contribute more to the offensive efforts.
