Armando Broja Bids farewell to his team as he concludes a Huge transfer Deal with  West Ham

Chelsea’s recent media briefing at Stamford Bridge covered updates on potential transfers involving Brighton striker Evan Ferguson and the sought-after Armando Broja.

The latest reports suggest that Armando Broja is being linked with a £30 million move to West Ham this month.

Since Todd Boehly assumed control of the Stamford Bridge boardroom last summer, Chelsea has been on a spending spree, nearing the £1 billion mark under the American-led takeover. A significant addition during the January transfer window could surpass this financial milestone.

Mauricio Pochettino and key figures within the club prioritize acquiring a new striker. However, securing a prolific striker comes with a hefty price tag, and Chelsea faces competition in the market. Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Brentford’s Ivan Toney are notable considerations, but conducting business in January is challenging. Additionally, there’s cautiousness regarding Financial Fair Play (FFP) and Premier League financial regulations.

Amidst these considerations, Evan Ferguson has emerged as a potential high-value target for Chelsea. Reports indicate that Chelsea has expressed interest in the highly-rated Irish teenager, who is valued at around £100 million. Brighton, however, seems reluctant to part ways with the promising striker.

Football.london notes, “Ferguson is a force to be reckoned with, and the 19-year-old should only improve over the years after making his name on the Premier League stage. However, with the Seagulls banking £115 million in that instance, they are under no immediate pressure to cash-in on Ferguson.”

Chelsea’s persistent need for a reliable No. 9 has been a prominent topic in the Premier League. Despite significant investments, the club has been unable to address this issue convincingly. Injuries to Christopher Nkunku have further complicated matters, limiting the playing time of the £52 million former RB Leipzig forward.

In the context of potential departures, West Ham is reportedly interested in acquiring Armando Broja, with a suggested fee of around £30 million. Football.london comments, “Whenever another striker does come in, Broja will be pushed further down the pecking order. It’s a possible move that does make sense for all parties – if there is any shred of truth – and certainly one to keep a close eye on before the window slams shut.”
