Huge mistake:Sevilla and Manchester United have tentatively agreed on a loan deal for Hannibal Mejbri.

Sevilla has reached a preliminary agreement with Manchester United to secure the loan signing of midfielder Hannibal Mejbri until the summer.

According to The Athletic’s report last week, the La Liga club has been making progress towards finalizing a deal for the 20-year-old Tunisia international. The proposed agreement includes an option to buy at €20 million, inclusive of add-ons, along with a fixed buy-back clause.

Hannibal is currently en route to Spain and is scheduled to undergo a medical examination as the transfer details are being concluded.

Should the acquisition materialize, Manchester United stands to gain a substantial return on the player, whose contract extends until 2025. The inclusion of a buy-back clause ensures that the club maintains a degree of influence over the future of the highly-regarded talent.

Despite interest from Everton, Sevilla’s offer was deemed more favorable to both Manchester United and Hannibal. The midfielder has featured in 11 games this season, including five in the Premier League, although he was not part of the squad for United’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
