Plymouth Argyle is considering a potential move for a player who received an invitation to the 2013 Golden Eaglets.

Plymouth Argyle, a team in the EFL Championship, is reportedly considering a move for Ovie Ejaria, who was invited to the 2013 Golden Eaglets, as per Football Insider. The Pilgrims are evaluating the possibility of acquiring the services of the former youth player from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Ejaria is currently without a club and is eligible to sign with a new team even after the closure of the January transfer window, following the mutual termination of his contract with Reading last month. Previously seen as a potential player for the Super Eagles, the Hale End Academy product has faced setbacks in recent years due to fitness issues, resulting in limited appearances, with just eight since the beginning of the 2022-2023 season.

Plymouth Argyle is reportedly looking to secure the signing of the London-born Nigerian midfielder on a free transfer, particularly after the departures of Finn Azaz and Luke Cundle, who joined Middlesbrough and Stoke City, respectively.

Ejaria, with experience in the Championship, has played a total of 135 games for Sunderland and Reading combined, contributing 10 goals and 13 assists. The 26-year-old was part of the Young Lions squad at the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup, alongside notable players like Ademola Lookman, Dominic Solanke, Sheyi Ojo, Josh Onomah, and Fikayo Tomori.

As of now, Plymouth Argyle holds the 19th position in the Championship table, with 30 points from twenty-seven matches.
