Tottenham’s midfielder Alfie Devine embarks on a loan spell with Plymouth.
Tottenham’s midfielder, Alfie Devine, is poised to complete the remainder of the season on loan with Plymouth Argyle. The 19-year-old, who previously experienced a loan spell with Port Vale in League One but was recently recalled, is now set to ply his trade for Plymouth in the Championship. This move sees him reuniting with head coach Ian Foster, with whom he collaborated during his time at the England youth level.
Devine made a significant impact during the first half of the season at Port Vale, amassing 26 appearances and netting three goals, including one in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals. Maintaining a consistent presence for the England Under-20 team, Devine’s loan switch to Plymouth comes on the heels of the earlier loan transfer of 18-year-old defender Ashley Phillips from Tottenham to the same Championship club in January.
