The Bengals have the second-highest betting odds to acquire Saquon Barkley.
Since joining the NFL in 2018, Barkley has been among the league’s top running backs, although he experienced a somewhat challenging season in 2023. The former Penn State player averaged just 3.9 yards per carry, his lowest in his career with a minimum of 200 carries, and scored 10 total touchdowns.
Despite his recent performance, Barkley remains one of the top 30 free agents available, with expectations of either receiving the franchise tag again or signing a contract estimated at around $11 million per year.
Considering the many other crucial positions that need attention, it would be imprudent for Cincinnati to allocate such a significant sum to a running back.
