Mike Tomlin of the Steelers discusses his job status and declares Kenny Pickett as QB1, emphasizing that there will be competition.
In his recent press briefing, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin kicked off with a light-hearted remark, acknowledging that he could have handled the inquiries about his job status better after the AFC wild-card loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday. On Thursday, he playfully asked, “Anybody have questions about contracts?”
Two days prior to this, Tomlin had informed the players that he would be returning for the 2024 season, which marks the last year of his current contract.
