Villarreal secures the signing of Wolves forward Guedes.
The Portuguese striker has been loaned to Villarreal from Wolves for the remainder of the season, with an option to make the transfer permanent. Guedes, who previously played for Benfica but faced limited playing time in the first half of the season, will reunite with coach Marcelino at Villarreal. Marcelino coached Guedes for two seasons at Valencia. Villarreal has brought in Guedes as a replacement for the injured attacker Yeremy Pino.
