Hybl’s last-minute basket propels the Tigers to victory over the T-Wolves in the Crosstown rematch.
Norman High maintained their lead throughout the game but never managed to widen the gap beyond nine points. After a strong beginning to the second half, Norman North fought their way back into contention and eventually seized the lead with less than three minutes left, courtesy of a 3-pointer from Kenzie Clouse.
Even as the Timberwolves held the lead entering the final minute, the Tigers, trailing by three with 30 seconds on the clock, orchestrated a play around the top of the key. This strategy led to Ady Hybl sinking a crucial 3-pointer to tie the game.
Although the Timberwolves had a chance to hold for the last shot, Keeley Parks intercepted the ball from Olivia Watkins with just seconds remaining. Parks, who had displayed remarkable performance on both ends of the court, executed a bounce pass to Hybl in the fast break, and the sophomore scored the game-winning basket with less than five seconds left.
