Browns enthusiasts are rooting for either the Lions or the Buccaneers to emerge victorious in the Super Bowl.
Cleveland fans predominantly attribute the team’s playoff setback to the defense. Following the Browns’ playoff loss to the Texans last week, 70% of fans maintain confidence in the team’s direction heading into the offseason, a slight dip from the 95% confidence rate in the prior week. Despite the disappointment, fans seem optimistic about the team’s offensive potential for 2024, anticipating the return of key players like Deshaun Watson, Nick Chubb, Jack Conklin, and Jedrick Wills.
In addressing the Browns’ disappointing effort against the Texans, fans were asked to identify the primary blame among the defense, Joe Flacco, or the coaching staff. The majority, 64%, pointed to the defense. While acknowledging the defensive unit’s ultimate failure, there is a recognition that it may reflect a season-long shortcoming in Jim Schwartz’s ability to counter teams utilizing misdirection on offense.
Since the Browns are no longer in contention, fans were polled on their preference for the Super Bowl winner among the remaining teams. Notably, 40% are rooting for the Detroit Lions, followed by 20% supporting Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Additional backing was divided between the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Texans, each garnering 13% of fan support.
