Travis Kelce, now a prominent figure for the Kansas City Chiefs, once harbored a dream of playing for his hometown team, the Cleveland Browns.

In a recent episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast, Kelce shared this aspiration with his brother Jason Kelce while discussing his draft experience. Originally from Cleveland, both Kelce brothers have a deep affinity for teams in the Cleveland and Ohio regions. Despite becoming a key player for the Chiefs, Travis Kelce admitted that he never foresaw himself playing for any Mid-West team other than the Browns.

During the conversation, Kelce disclosed that he went to great lengths to make his dream a reality, even pleading with his college coach and shedding tears to secure a spot on the Cleveland Browns. However, as fate would have it, things didn’t unfold as Kelce had hoped. Reflecting on the experience, Kelce acknowledged that the outcome might have been for the best, considering the success he has achieved with the Chiefs, being part of one of the NFL’s most significant dynasties. While the dream of playing for the Cleveland Browns remains in the background, Kelce is currently committed to the Chiefs and looks forward to continuing the dynasty alongside Patrick Mahomes.
