The EFL has officially released the fixture schedule for the 2024/25 season, with the first round of matches scheduled for the weekend of Saturday, August 10, and Sunday, August 11. This marks a weekend later than in recent years, potentially influenced by the European Championships occurring in Germany this summer. In the current term, Plymouth Argyle kicked off their Championship campaign on August 5, securing a 3-1 victory against Huddersfield Town at Home Park.
