The appointment of match officials for Leeds United’s Emirates FA Cup clash against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday has been revealed, with Lewis Smith scheduled to be the referee. This marks his second season officiating in the EFL.

Saturday’s game will mark the first time he will be in charge of a Leeds United match. While he has previously refereed two Plymouth matches, resulting in one win and one defeat, with two yellow cards issued to Argyle players.

His most recent match officiating for Plymouth was in October, overseeing their 3-1 home defeat against Swansea City. Smith’s latest refereeing assignment was last Saturday, overseeing Queens Park Rangers’ 2-0 Sky Bet Championship victory over Millwall.
