The Bruins lead the league, yet there is room for improvement in a specific area.
Heading into their bye week, the Boston Bruins boast an NHL-leading record of 31-9-9 after a decisive 6-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday. Since returning from the holiday break in December, the Bruins have demonstrated a strong performance, compiling a record of 12-3-2 and outscoring their opponents 73-43 over the course of 17 games. Despite pre-season skepticism, Boston’s offensive production has remained robust. Notably, goaltender Linus Ullmark has reaped the rewards of some of the Bruins’ commanding victories, including the 9-4 triumph over the Montreal Canadiens on Jan. 20.
