The ex-head coach of the Washington Commanders, Ron Rivera, underwent an interview with the Los Angeles Rams.
Jonathan Jones from CBS Sports reported on Monday morning that the former head coach of Washington recently interviewed for the Rams’ defensive coordinator role during the weekend.
The Rams found themselves in need of a new defensive coordinator after Raheem Morris was appointed as the Falcons’ new head coach. In the quest to fill this position, the Rams have conducted interviews with Ron Rivera, Dennard Wilson, Aden Durde, and Brandon Staley.
Ron Rivera, the former Washington head coach, was a linebacker for the Chicago Bears from 1984 to 1992, including the team’s 1985 Super Bowl championship season. After retiring as a player, Rivera commenced his coaching journey with the Bears, serving as the defensive quality control coach from 1997 to 1998 under Dave Wannstedt’s staff.
