Lazio is said to have initiated discussions with Championship team Plymouth Argyle for a potential late transfer deal involving winger Morgan Whittaker.
Known for their tendency to finalize transfer deals at the last minute, Lazio has yet to make any signings this month. Despite considering numerous options, they have been unable to make a definitive move.
After an unsuccessful attempt to secure Jack Clarke from Sunderland with a €16 million offer (rejected due to the player’s €25 million price tag), Lazio has turned its attention back to the Championship for alternatives. According to reports from Corriere dello Sport via TMW, Lazio began negotiations with Plymouth Argyle on Monday inquiring about the possibility of acquiring Whittaker. The 23-year-old winger has impressed with 15 goals and six assists in 28 Championship appearances this season. Whittaker had previously been on loan with Plymouth Argyle during the second half of the last season before making a permanent move in the summer for approximately €1.15 million, signing a four-year contract.
