Zakai Zeigler, the guard for the Tennessee Volunteers, possesses a diverse range of skills.
Throughout his college career, Zakai Zeigler has gained recognition for various skills. Positioned as one of the most physically imposing defenders in the nation at the guard position, he possesses elite playmaking abilities that enable him to drive to the paint for easy buckets and and-1 opportunities. Notably, Zeigler also stands out as one of the top shooters in the NCAA, showcasing his ability to sink shots from a considerable distance.
Despite these impressive attributes, one aspect Zeigler is not renowned for is dunking. Despite occasionally showcasing dunks in pre-game warmups, the junior guard has yet to execute a dunk during an actual game. Standing at 5-9 and weighing 171 pounds, Zeigler became a fan favorite after delivering dominant performances alongside Kennedy Chandler during his freshman season. After a remarkable freshman year, he elevated his game further as a starter for the Vols, only to face an ACL injury late in the season.
Returning from injury at the start of his junior season, Zeigler has continued to excel as both a player and leader for the Volunteers. Despite his impressive talents, there’s been a recent video circulating on Instagram (@omft_tv) showing Zeigler executing a remarkable between-the-legs dunk. While Zeigler has participated in the Tennessee dunking tradition during pregame rituals, he has yet to display his dunking abilities in an actual live game. This video has sparked speculation among Tennessee fans about whether they will witness the beloved Zeigler dunk during a game in the future.
