Joe Barry, the former defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers, swiftly secured a new position. The Miami Dolphins have appointed Barry as their latest linebackers coach and run game coordinator. Despite the unmet expectations of Barry’s defense in Green Bay, his commendable track record as a positional coach has led to multiple defensive coordinator roles.
Boasting considerable experience as a linebackers coach, Barry has previously served in this capacity for three NFL teams. His success in guiding the linebackers for the Los Angeles Rams played a pivotal role in him securing the defensive coordinator position with the Packers.
While Barry won’t be part of the Packers’ defensive staff in 2024, he is set to make a return to Lambeau Field in his new role with the Miami Dolphins.
