Standout Swedish athlete Kooper Koehn commits to South Dakota School of Mines.
In Gothenburg on February 7th, senior Kooper Koehn, a standout Swede athlete, formalized his commitment to the South Dakota School of Mines by signing his letter of intent. This marks the continuation of his football and academic journey.
Koehn, a versatile athlete engaged in three sports as a Swede—football, track, and basketball—revealed his passion for football, a dream he aspired to achieve since childhood. Reflecting on his high school senior year, he contributed to the 6-4 Swede football team.
During his college visit, Koehn not only appreciated the coaching staff but formed a strong connection with wide receiver coach Ryan Gent. “Coach Gent and I really connected up there,” Koehn shared. Additionally, the allure of finding a college that aligned with his intended major, a program not commonly offered by many schools, served as a significant factor in his decision. “Finding that was a big selling point,” Koehn affirmed.
