Williams is on the verge of taking up a position in United’s academy.
As reported by The Daily Express, Williams is expected to assume the role of lead academy scout.
Having previously served as an analyst and scout for United, Williams departed in 2022 to join former assistant Kieran McKenna at Portman Road.
