The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially acquired linebacker Jeremiah Moon through waivers following a post-Super Bowl delay, as reported by NFL journalist Aaron Wilson.
Moon, aged 25, has had a fluctuating status on the Ravens roster since entering the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022. While he didn’t see any action in his rookie season, Moon participated in eight games, including two against the Steelers, during the 2023 season. He earned one start during these matchups, registering 12 tackles (including one for loss) and forcing two fumbles. Moon was waived before the postseason to make room for tight end Mark Andrews.
The Steelers submitted their claim for Moon on January 26, but the official transaction had to wait until after the Super Bowl.
In joining the Steelers, Moon will be part of the outside linebacker room alongside T.J. Watt, Alex Highsmith, and Nick Herbig. Markus Golden, who was signed by the Steelers in May of the previous year, is currently a pending free agent.
