Westlake High School wide receiver Travis Smith Jr. recently narrowed down his recruitment to eight schools, with his focus shifting to Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. According to Smith, Georgia and Tennessee currently stand out the most among these programs.

In the 247Sports’ Composite Rankings for the 2025 class, Smith Jr. is ranked as the No. 196 prospect. His junior season showcased his skills, with 34 receptions for 587 yards and eight touchdowns. Notably, Georgia hosted him for a junior day, and there are expert predictions suggesting a potential commitment to the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, the University of Tennessee secured the commitment of Joakim Dodson, a wide receiver from Collierville High School, marking the first wideout commitment for the class.
