Surprisingly, Alabama fans did not criticize ESPN for this ranking, recognizing the uncertainty of predicting a team’s performance eight months ahead of a season.
In an updated version on Tuesday, ESPN’s early Top 25 featured the Georgia Bulldogs in the top spot, followed by Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and Notre Dame. Notably, Alabama found itself ranked below No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 7 Missouri, and No. 8 Penn State.
