 SO JOYFULL: Ryan Day has elevated James Laurinaitis, an Ohio State assistant, to the position of linebackers coach.
In a swift progression, James Laurinaitis, who returned to Columbus just a year ago to work as a graduate assistant for his alma mater, has been elevated to a permanent coaching role with the Ohio State Buckeyes. Laurinaitis will now assume the role of linebacker coach, a position overseen by defensive coordinator Jim Knowles in the previous season.
