On his 31st birthday, former San Francisco 49ers running back Mike Davis reflected on his NFL journey, expressing gratitude for the friendships and memories the game provided. After an eight-year career, he officially announced his retirement. Drafted by the 49ers in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, Davis faced challenges, including a fractured hand in 2015, leading to a stint on injured reserve.

Despite ups and downs with San Francisco, he continued his career with the Seattle Seahawks after being claimed off waivers in 2017. Davis contributed significantly during his time with the Seahawks, earning a one-year contract extension. A subsequent move to the Chicago Bears in 2019 and a brief stint with the Carolina Panthers showcased the dynamic nature of his career.

In 2020, Davis enjoyed a productive season with the Carolina Panthers, recording impressive stats. He then joined the Atlanta Falcons, where he played in 17 games during the 2021 season. However, his time with the Falcons concluded in 2022 when he was released in May.

Subsequently, Davis signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens for the 2022 season. Unfortunately, he was waived by the Ravens on December 10, marking the conclusion of his NFL journey.
