In the 2020 NFL Draft, Cincinnati opted for Joe Burrow as their first pick. In a recent analysis by FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt, he ranked NFL quarterback prospects dating back to 2012, placing Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow behind this year’s top prospect, Caleb Williams, and the 2021 No. 1 pick, Trevor Lawrence.
Although all three were widely regarded as the premier choices in their respective draft years, Klatt expressed a perception of slightly higher potential in Caleb Williams compared to both Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence.
