Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions are set to undergo significant changes to their coaching staff, particularly in the realm of defense.

On February 21, the Lions officially announced the recruitment of three new defensive assistants: Terrell Williams, Deshea Townsend, and Jim O’Neil. While the arrivals of Williams and Townsend had been previously reported, the inclusion of O’Neil came as new information. O’Neil will be taking on the role of a defensive assistant.

Additionally, Justin Rogers from The Detroit News reported on February 21 that the Lions made adjustments to their coaching lineup by removing six coaches from the team’s website. The list of those no longer featured on the website comprises Brian Duker, the defensive backs coach, Dré Bly, the cornerbacks coach, John Scott, the defensive line coach, John Fox, the senior defensive assistant, Jim Hostler, the senior offensive assistant, and Wayne Blair, the defensive quality control coach.
