Barrett remarked, “He will throw a ball out of his butt,” as reported by CHGO Sports’ Mark Carman. It’s certainly an unusual way to praise someone.

McCarthy concluded the season with an outstanding 72.3% completion rate, marking a career-best performance. This accomplishment contributed to Michigan securing the third-best completion percentage in college football last season, trailing behind Oregon and Georgia.

Following Michigan’s national title victory last month, McCarthy declared for the NFL draft. According to Sports Illustrated’s post-Super Bowl NFL Mock Draft, McCarthy is predicted to be selected by the Denver Broncos with the 12th pick. Additionally, there are speculations linking him to the Los Angeles Rams, Las Vegas Raiders, and Atlanta Falcons—NFL teams actively seeking new quarterback talent.
