The Baltimore Ravens enhanced their wide receiver lineup for the 2023 season in an effort to meet the needs of quarterback Lamar Jackson and acquire additional offensive weapons. Although the team reached the AFC Championship game, they ultimately fell short against the eventual champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
As they strive to overcome challenges in the upcoming season, one of the team’s most experienced receivers is set to return. Coach John Harbaugh expressed optimism about Rashod Bateman’s potential for a successful season in 2024 during a press conference at the NFL Scouting Combine. Harbaugh stated, “I anticipate Rashod Bateman taking significant strides. He is poised to receive more opportunities this year, having demonstrated excellent route running and putting in tremendous effort.”
Harbaugh highlighted Bateman’s improved health throughout the previous season, noting that as he became healthier, his on-field performance reflected the positive change. Emphasizing Bateman’s capability to make impactful plays when the ball reached him, Harbaugh confidently asserted that the receiver is primed for increased involvement in the upcoming season and is well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
