In Columbia, SC, the Tennessee women’s basketball team showcased impressive performance in the regular season finale, putting up a strong fight against No. 1 South Carolina. Despite falling 76-68 in front of a packed Senior Day crowd, the Lady Vols, led by fifth-year forward Rickea Jackson’s stellar 29-point performance, challenged the Gamecocks throughout the game. The loss marked South Carolina’s smallest margin of victory at home this season, and the Lady Vols displayed resilience, narrowing the deficit to three points in the fourth quarter. Despite the defeat, Tennessee’s defensive efforts held South Carolina to their worst shooting performance of the season at 33.3%.
