Charlton Athletic’s forward, Chuks Aneke, may not be available for their League One match against Carlisle United on Saturday, as he has been absent from the team’s recent two matches. Despite participating in four consecutive games for the South Londoners in February, all as a substitute, the former Arsenal and MK attacker’s current uncertainty stems from a hamstring problem that initially ruled him out in October, keeping him sidelined until early 2024.
Following Tuesday’s 3-1 victory at Cheltenham Town, Charlton manager Nathan Jones revealed, “He has picked up something. We can never rush anything with Chuks because he’s a different specimen to other people. We have to be careful. He’s not available, and that’s it.”
