Even upon recovery, Pickett didn’t reclaim his starting position. Backup Mason Rudolph showed promise at times but didn’t exhibit the qualities of a franchise quarterback. Consequently, the Steelers are taking a chance on Russell Wilson, signing him to a one-year deal.
