“Former Scotland Under-21 Player Finds Success at Football League Club”

The former Scotland Under-21 player has found success at the Football League club situated far from his homeland since he initially arrived on loan from Blackpool in January 2020.

Having started as a youth player at Rangers, Hardie made seven appearances in the Scottish Premiership in 2017, following five outings in the Scottish second tier for the Glasgow giants two years earlier.

He embarked on loan spells at Raith Rovers, St Mirren, and notably at Livingston, where his 15 goals secured him a transfer to Blackpool in the summer of 2019.

Nevertheless, his stint at Bloomfield Road proved challenging, with his sole goal coming in the EFL Trophy, while he failed to score in seven League One appearances.

Yet, Hardie has thrived at Home Park, tallying 62 goals after joining Plymouth Argyle permanently in early 2021 following two loan spells.

“He takes immense pride in his Scottish heritage, and representing his country would be a dream come true for him, both personally and for his family,” remarked Foster about the striker who contributed 17 goals last season, aiding Argyle in clinching the League One title.

“It would be a significant moment for him, for us, and for his loved ones. As he approaches his 200th appearance for the club this weekend, it’s already a proud milestone. Perhaps he’ll receive that national team call-up this weekend.”

“We’ve been in communication with the Scottish Football Association, providing the usual information regarding his physical condition, statistical data, and other personal details, ensuring he’s fully prepared should he be selected for a summer tournament.”
