Jones was recently traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round draft pick.

Selected by the Patriots out of Alabama as the No. 15 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, Jones emerged victorious in the competition against Cam Newton for the starting quarterback position during his rookie season. He achieved a Pro Bowl selection after an impressive performance, amassing 3,801 passing yards and 22 touchdowns.
