Amad Diallo Penalized with Second Yellow Card for Overzealous Celebration After Scoring 121st-Minute Winner..

Amad Diallo received his second yellow card for an exuberant celebration following his dramatic 121st-minute goal, securing an unlikely victory for Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

The 21-year-old Ivorian, who entered the match as a substitute in the 85th minute for Raphael Varane, netted the decisive goal after Garnacho capitalized on a misplaced pass from Harvey Elliott.

Diallo, who had been cautioned just six minutes earlier for a foul on Virgil Van Dijk, admitted to forgetting about his initial yellow card in the heat of the moment.

Despite being sent off for removing his shirt during the celebration, Diallo will not miss United’s FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City, thanks to recent amendments to English football regulations. However, he will be required to serve a one-match suspension.

The recent changes in English football regulations stipulate that specific suspensions must be served within the competition in which they were incurred. However, this particular rule does not apply to red cards.
