Reading FC Manager Ruben Selles Addresses Team and Staff Struggles Amid Ongoing “Chaos”
Reading FC manager Ruben Selles acknowledged that his team and staff are struggling to deal with the ongoing “chaos and uncertainty” stemming from off-field issues.
The club has been embroiled in a prolonged ownership saga during Dai Yongge’s tenure, who is currently in negotiations to sell the club. Despite ongoing talks, the staff, players, and fans are still facing distractions off the field while the club remains under Dai’s control. The latest issue involves a proposed deal to sell the Bearwood Park training ground to League One rivals Wycombe Wanderers, adding further strain to the situation.
“My response remains the same. We’ve reached a point where I mentioned before that we can’t handle these matters any longer,” Selles commented when asked about the potential sale of Bearwood.
“We’ve moved past the stage where people talk about motivational speeches and controlling the controllables. It’s time to focus on our own tasks and responsibilities.”
