Carlesia Fields of Bunkie has demonstrated her prowess on the basketball court throughout the season while donning the red and white jersey.
Recognizing the significance of her senior year, Lady Panthers’ head coach Jessie Juneau remarked, “She is out here to prove something.”
Consistently delivering strong performances, Fields has maintained double-digit averages in scoring in each of her seasons with the Lady Panthers. Currently, she boasts impressive statistics, averaging over 25 points, eight rebounds, and eight steals per game.
Despite her individual success, Fields emphasizes her role as a team player, stating, “I want them to be good too, just as good as I am.”
In recent games, Fields showcased her scoring prowess with 29 points against Jena and 26 points against Avoyelles.
Juneau praised Fields’ leadership and the respect she commands from her teammates, highlighting her special impact on the team.
Approaching a significant milestone, Fields is on the verge of becoming the first Bunkie Panther in school history to reach 3,000 career points.
