Michigan’s basketball team appears to be facing another setback as its top scorer has already departed for the transfer portal, and now its leading rebounder is also poised to leave.
According to a program spokesman, sophomore Tarris Reed Jr. has entered the transfer portal, as confirmed to the Free Press on Tuesday.
Reed’s decision to explore transfer options doesn’t come as a shock, especially considering his public endorsement of recently dismissed head coach Juwan Howard in the postgame locker room following Michigan’s season-ending defeat to Penn State in last week’s Big Ten tournament.
