The Bengals finalized a one-year deal with Trent Brown on…

Approaching his 31st birthday, Brown acknowledges the likelihood of frequently engaging in pass blocking within the Bengals’ offensive scheme led by Joe Burrow. He anticipates facing off against some of the NFL’s premier pass rushers.

Expressing confidence in his abilities, Brown stated, “I’m very comfortable doing that. That’s what I do best. I think that’s why I’m here. And like you say, you won’t find another tackle in the league or in the game of football today that does that better than me. I have a unique set of skills and being able to play both sides that way. And credit to God and my parents for that.”

While Brown’s assertion may evoke thoughts of Liam Neeson, his message is grounded in reality. The Patriots entrusted him with pass-blocking duties in one-on-one matchups against elite rushers like Myles Garrett and TJ Watt.

In Cincinnati, Brown, a towering figure at 6-8 and 380 pounds, will collaborate with Orlando Brown Jr., Ted Karras, and other seasoned members of the offensive line unit, aiming to safeguard Burrow.

Brown and Karras share a history, having spent two seasons together in New England.
