Plymouth Argyle’s midfielder Adam Forshaw has returned to training following his injury.
Midfielder Adam Forshaw seems to be on track to be fit for Plymouth Argyle’s upcoming away match against his former club Norwich City on Good Friday.
The 32-year-old was sidelined from the recent 1-0 loss to Preston North End at Home Park on March 16 due to what head coach Ian Foster previously described as a ‘pulled hamstring’. However, he participated in training despite the wet conditions at Harper’s Park yesterday (Monday).
Forshaw was captured in a photo alongside rain-drenched players and staff, taken with Argyle’s Japanese superfan Tatsuki Usi, who is currently visiting Plymouth. This moment was shared on social media by Tatsuki Usi, who expressed admiration for Forshaw’s performance, both on TV and in person.
Argyle will be without another former Norwich player, Bali Mumba, for the trip to Carrow Road on Good Friday, as he serves a two-match suspension after accumulating 10 bookings in the Championship this season.
Forshaw moved to Norwich from Leeds United last summer but made only four starts and five substitute appearances for the Canaries. One of those appearances saw him come off the bench in a 6-2 defeat against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park in September.
Despite signing for Argyle in January, the experienced midfielder has been limited to five starts and one substitute appearance due to fitness concerns since then.
Matty Sorinola was absent from the defeat against Preston due to illness, but the wing-back was also included in the group photo taken at Harper’s Park yesterday. Foster is anticipated to provide an update tomorrow on Darko Gyabi, the Leeds United midfielder on loan, who missed the match against Preston due to a groin issue.
