HOT BROADCASTING: [5] Reason’s why the reading club owner Dai Yongge sell the clube out and..
Reading Football Club owner Dai Yongge has initiated “exclusive talks” with a potential buyer, as confirmed by the club on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Dai will now engage in a period of exclusive negotiation to finalize the terms of the agreement.
The club anticipates that the sale process will take approximately two months, with the purchaser’s identity to be revealed at that time. This transaction would involve the transfer of Dai Yongge’s ownership stake in The Reading Football Club Limited, as well as the Select Car Leasing Stadium and Bearwood Park training ground.
Dai Yongge acquired Reading FC in 2017. Last week, a potential sale of the Bearwood Park training ground was postponed due to “planning limitations.” Wycombe Wanderers Football Club had intended to purchase the site from Reading to provide financial support for the club, enabling it to meet its financial obligations, including tax payments and operating expenses such as staff and player salaries.
However, it appears that the use of Bearwood Park is restricted to Reading FC due to planning constraints, leading to the suspension of the sale.
In late February, Reading Football Club was docked two points immediately due to ongoing late payments to HMRC in 2023. This penalty was imposed following a ruling by an EFL Disciplinary Commission on February 26.
