BREAKING NEWS: Atlanta Falcons Part Ways with Offensive Lineman…
The Atlanta Falcons have announced the release of offensive lineman Justin Shaffer, as stated on Thursday. Shaffer was drafted by Atlanta in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft from Georgia. Over the past two seasons, the 25-year-old primarily occupied spots on the practice squad and injured reserve list.
Although the team secured Shaffer with a reserve/futures contract in January, he is now set to become a free agent. Given that former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith has assumed the role of offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh, it wouldn’t be unexpected if the Steelers pursue the promising guard in the future.
