Angel Reese Enters Multiyear Partnership with Panini America.
Panini America recently announced a long-term collaboration with former LSU basketball standout Angel Reese. This exclusive partnership encompasses Reese’s autographed trading cards and memorabilia. Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed by a company spokesperson.
Currently preparing for the WNBA Draft scheduled for Monday, Reese is anticipated to be selected as the No. 8 pick by the Chicago Sky, as per ESPN’s latest mock draft. Panini revealed that their initial consumer product featuring Reese will be a Panini Instant card crafted on draft night following her team selection.
Expressing enthusiasm for the collaboration, Jason Howarth, Panini America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Athlete Relations, lauded Reese as an exceptional talent and dynamic player, welcoming her to the Panini family in an official statement.
Reese’s collegiate career at LSU saw her team clinch the 2023 national championship against Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes, only to be eliminated by Iowa in this year’s Elite Eight. Over her four-year college tenure, Reese boasted impressive averages of 18.6 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
Earlier in March, Panini America inked an exclusive multiyear deal with Caitlin Clark, reportedly exceeding $1 million in the first year alone, making her the first female athlete to secure exclusivity for trading cards and signed memorabilia. Reese now joins Clark as the second athlete to enjoy such exclusivity in partnership with Panini America.
