Hubert Davis is facing the challenge of filling the gap left by Armando Bacot’s departure from the roster. With Bacot’s eligibility expired, Davis, in his first head coaching stint, must now seek his next starting big man. While Jalen Washington remains on the team, Davis recognizes the need to bolster depth in the frontcourt, regardless of Washington’s role. Despite a less remarkable season, Bradshaw’s potential is evident, especially considering his recovery from foot surgery and his versatility as a seven-footer who can both shoot and defend.
Ultimately, Davis faces a decision between a traditional post player in Ballo or a more versatile threat in Bradshaw. While Ballo may provide a more immediate impact, Bradshaw’s potential ceiling suggests a promising future. Davis may be exploring other options in the transfer portal, but both Ballo and Bradshaw present compelling choices for the Tar Heels.
