NFL standout Brandon Aiyuk seems to have unfollowed the San Francisco 49ers on social media amidst their contract disagreement.

Brandon Aiyuk had a standout season in 2023, marking one of his career highs in the NFL with seven touchdowns and a personal best of 1,342 receiving yards.

As a first-round pick in 2020, the San Francisco 49ers secured Aiyuk’s services for an additional year by exercising his fifth-year option. However, unless a contract extension is negotiated, he’ll become a free agent after the 2024 season.

Aiyuk and his representatives are actively seeking a long-term deal sooner rather than later, with uncertainty looming over whether it will be with the Niners or another team, given the swirling trade rumors.

Amid the contract negotiations, Aiyuk has taken the step of unfollowing the 49ers on social media, echoing a trend among athletes expressing dissatisfaction with their teams through online platforms.

Reflecting on his value to the team, Aiyuk emphasized his contributions both on and off the field, expressing his desire for a fair agreement that recognizes his worth.

While hoping for a mutually beneficial resolution, Aiyuk remains committed to maintaining a professional approach as negotiations continue.
