Key Women’s Basketball Players are returning to boost Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2024-25 Season.

The Iowa Hawkeyes are gearing up for the 2024-25 women’s basketball season with a formidable lineup of returning players ready to take the court. Leading the pack is center Hannah Stuelke, renowned for her dominant presence in the paint and exceptional defensive skills within the Big Ten conference. Stuelke’s ability to control rebounds and protect the rim will be crucial as the team adjusts to the departure of superstar Caitlin Clark to the WNBA.

Accompanying Stuelke in the frontcourt is forward Sydney Affolter, known for her versatility and scoring prowess, adding depth to the Hawkeyes’ offense. In the backcourt, guards Sharon Goodman and Taylor McCabe bring their respective strengths: Goodman’s sharpshooting and basketball intelligence, complemented by McCabe’s speed and agility, driving the team’s offense forward.

Completing the top five is forward AJ Ediger, valued for her athleticism and scoring abilities, providing additional depth to Iowa’s frontcourt. With this talented roster primed to fill the gaps left by Clark’s departure, the Hawkeyes are poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season, promising an exhilarating display of basketball led by Stuelke, Affolter, Goodman, McCabe, and Ediger.
